One person has been died while 18 passengers sustained injuries in an accident in Osogbo, Osun State.

The Nation gathered that the accident, involving a commercial bus, happened on Osogbo/Gbongan Road, and that it was caused by speed limit violation and break failure.

Spokesperson of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Mrs Agnes Ogungbemi, confirmed the incident.

“The accident occurred around 1:45pm along Osogbo/Gbongan Road at Abere Secretariat First Gate which involved a white Toyota Hiace.

“20 passengers were involved in the accident. We have taken the injured to Osun State University Teaching Hospital, Osogbo,” she said.
