Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo yesterday opened his goal accounts with Al Hilal as the Saudi Arabian champions demolished Al Jazira 6-1 in the 2021 FIFA Club World Cup.
It was the biggest victory in the tournament’s history and victory gurantees Al Hilal a semi-final slot against Chelsea.
Ighalo registered an 36th minute equaliser for the AFC Champions League winners as they went on rampage and hammered their Asian counterparts 6-1 in the night.

“We believe we were much the better team, so after we went 1-0 down, we started pressing, acting as a team. Everyone started getting into the game. We scored one, we scored another and we got the result we wanted,” Ighalo said.
Meanwhile, Al Hilal will face Chelsea on Wednesday Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium while the first semi-final between Palmeiras and Al Ahly comes up tomorrow at the Al Nahyan Stadium on Tuesday, 8:30pm local time
