The candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Christopher Zakka has been declared the winner of the Chairmanship election for Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC).
He polled a total of 19,302 to beat his closest rival of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Murtala Usman, who got 13,240.votes.

He was declared winner by the INEC Returning Officer Professor Sani Zaka.
