Three people died yesterday in Girei, headquarters of Girei council of Adamawa State, following a road accident.
The accident occurred at Viniklang Junction, a busy spot on the edge of Girei near Jimeta Bridge that links the town with the capital city, Yola.
Witnesses said a trailer loaded with grains, speeding down the Mubi-Yola Road towards Jimeta Bridge, ran over a pedestrian and two tricycles.
Officials of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) evacuated the bodies to a hospital in Yola, and cleared the road.
There is usually a heavy human and vehicular traffic at the Viniklang Junction.
