The grandson of the late Legendary drummer, Tony Allen, Tunji Allen, also known as Abidy, is a Nigerian Afrobeat singer, rapper, songwriter, and music producer.
The fast-rising artist is the first child of his parents who was born and raised in Lagos State, Nigeria.
Speaking with our reporter yesterday in Lagos, Tunji said he is set to explode Afrobeat with his unique style and quality of songs, coupled with motivational messages that will be worthy of listening.
Tunji said his arrival promises to give an extra spice and hopes to take Afrobeat vibrant sounds to that A+ level globally.
“I have worked with various artists and recently worked on a project that’s widely recognized in France and worldwide.
“I also worked with the late Tony Allen and his former -band members as a songwriter, singer, and rapping on the track. “We Are One” smash hit song released in 2021. I am ready to explode Afrobeat with a unique style and quality of songs no one has ever produced and I can assure you that you will get the best of me,” he said.
Tunji promised to take the Afrobeat industry by storm, as he works on his new project “Allenco Bloodline” EP and “Rivers of all Time”, a new single of the new project.
He explained that the project should be released by the first quarter of 2022 while he also features musicians from Nigeria, France, and United Kingdom.
He is best described as a creative hybrid of African melody, rapper, and groove beats, who took his sound and made it his own by watching closely, creating his type of craft from the inspiration of his Tony Allen, his musical influence.
The energetic musician has performed in various events including University Summer Party, UNILAG beauty pageant, clubs and music festivals, Lagos Island (Isale Eko) PA event, peace and movements Elevent and Mainland where he hosted a concert event in (Surulere) Lagos.
The event he said was aimed at bringing the youths together in promoting peace and harmony.
