Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde; business mogul, and Chairman, BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu; Dr. Richardson Ajayi, Allen Onyema, Chief Stella Okoli, and Comrade Adewole Adeyanju are among nominees for the Eighth Significance Africa Awards (SAA), which will hold on March 25, 2022.
According to its organisers, Inwest Media Inc, the event is billed for Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos and on offer are two awards: Family Business Award and Tourism Hero Award.
In a statement, its Public Relations Officer (PRO), Mr. Yemi Bakare, said the awards would be different. ”It is our Eighth Anniversary and we are ready and keen to make everyone proud beyond the previous editions,” he said.
He added that the awards summit would be anchored by Niyi Akinsiju while the Lead Speaker is Prof. Patrick Loch Otiono Lumumba, an Advocate of the courts of Kenya and Tangayika and former Director, Kenya Anti-Corruption Commission. He would speak on the theme: ”Interrogating dimensions, prospects, and challenges of the African economy in the post-COVID era”.
”Also, we wish to state that this event, coming after two years since the COVID-19 pandemic,” Bakare added.
