Bayer Leverkusen will be without right-back Jeremie Frimpong for the rest of the season, the Bundesliga club said on Tuesday.
Bayer Leverkusen said Frimpong sustained a right ankle ligament tear during Sunday’s 1-0 home defeat against Cologne and will have to undergo surgery.
Frimpong was an important player in the team, featuring in 25 of their 26 top-flight season games.
