The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) yesterday arrested former Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano, at the Murtala Muhammad International Airport Lagos.
It was learnt that he was on his way to Houston, Texas in the United States base.
EFCC spokesman Wilson Uwujaren confirmed the arrest.
“It’s true,” he told The Nation last night, adding that Obiano was in the commission’s custody at its Lagos office.
Obiano, who has been on the Commission’s watchlist, was reportedly arrested at about 8.30 pm.
His arrest came hours after he handed over to Governor Charles Soludo.
