NUGA Games: Sanwo-Olu pledges more support for sport dev’t

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has pledged his administration’s steady contribution to the development of sporting facilities in the state.

Sanwo-Olu who was represented by Lagos State Sports Commission chairman Sola Aiyepeku as the special guest of honour during Saturday’s opening ceremony of the 2022 Nigerian University Games Association (NUGA) championships being hosted by the University of Lagos (UNILAG), said as much, even as he reiterated his commitment to uplift the youths so that they can express themselves in all fields of human endeavours.

Incidentally, both the Lagos Governor and Aiyepeku are both alumnus of UNILAG.

“ As a great Akokite, His Excellency Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is proud and honoured to support the Nigeria University Games Association(NUGA) and this is why Lagos State contributed significantly to improving UNILAG Sports facilities for the games ,” noted Aiyepeku.

“ Governor Sanwo-Olu is always interested in sports platforms that give youths opportunities to express themselves and we believe this games will offers the students so much fun and we want to wish all of them success,” he added.
