EFCC seals building allegedly belonging to Obiano in Anambra

AN uncompleted building allegedly belonging to immediate past governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano, has been sealed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Anambra State

The building allegedly located at Ngozika Estate in Awka, the capital city was sealed on Thursday by the graft agency

Obiano, who was released by the EFCC on Thursday after spending six days in their custody, was arrested on March 17 by the commission on his way to Houston.

The Nation gathered Friday that the agency placed a notice that reads “‘EFCC, Keep Off. Under Investigation” on the uncompleted building.

According to Wilson Uwujaren, the Commission’s Head of Media and Publicity, the former governor was arrested for alleged “misappropriation of public funds”

The funds, he said included, five billion naira Sure-P and 37 billion naira security votes.
