2023: Fayinka drums support for Tinubu

The Special Adviser on Transportation to Lagos State Governor, Hon. Toyin Fayinka, has called on Nigerians to support the candidacy of National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Governor of the State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu for President in the 2023 elections.

Fayinka made this call in Lagos on Thursday while hosting members of his constituency under the “Asiwaju Movement Network” and “Imole Mushin Movement” at the Movement’s Secretariat in Aromire Street, Mushin Local Government.

The Special Adviser who was represented at the event by his aide, Mr. Henry Babatunde Ige, stated that Asiwaju Tinubu remains the candidate to beat at the polls.

According to him, Asiwaju is the most experienced politician in Nigeria with vast political structures across the 36 states of the federation. “Let us also not forget that Asiwaju laid a solid economic and political foundation for Lagos State, many of which we are enjoying today,” Ige said.

“For our National Leader, the time has come for him to realise his life ambition of becoming the President of Nigeria. He has paid his dues locally and internationally. I am yet to see any other aspirant for the position of President who has made a lot of people and has invested in them.

“Asiwaju understands the political economy of Nigeria. As an accountant and administrator, he redefined governance in Lagos State and re-organised its internal revenue drive to make it the best in Nigeria. Under his administration, the state recorded massive infrastructural growth and payment of salaries and gratuities to pensioners without delay even in the face of an economic war waged against him by former President Olusegun Obasanjo,” Ige added.

Bringing his remarks to an end, Ige urged participants at the gathering to preach the gospel of Asiwaju Tinubu to their friends and loved ones and contribute massively to his success at the polls.

Speaking on behalf of Concerned Youths of Idi-Araba Community, Hon. Umar Usman, used the occasion to clamour support for Hon. Fayinka to represent the constituency at the Federal House of Representatives in the 2023 general elections.

“We are using this opportunity to call on our brothers, sisters and mothers especially to endorse and support Hon. Toyin Fayinka because he is someone who has contributed meaningfully to the party and the people,” Usman said.

On her part, Alhaja Tawakalit Aromire revealed that women in the party and constituency as a whole have endorsed Hon. Fayinka to represent them at the Federal House of Representatives.

“As women who makes up large number of votes in any election, we believe Fayinka has everything it takes to carry the women along. He is one of us and has been with us. Not once has he turned us down. He listen to our cries and has not left the women behind. We are all behind him. We know and trust him to deliver and we will give him all our support to ensure he emerge as our elected representative,” Alh. Aromire added.
