Four fake soldiers arrested for armed robbery

Four fake soldiers accused of armed robbery have been arrested by operatives of the Nigeria Police Force in Osun State.

The Osun State Commissioner of Police, Olawale Olokode, briefing newsmen while parading the suspects at the command’s headquarters in Osogbo, said 35-year-old David Agbebaku, Adewale Olubunmi and Oluwaseun Oderinde were arrested after one of them who had deserted the Nigeria army fraudulently obtained N300,000 one individual.

The suspects were also said to have robbed another man of his Honda Accord car with registration number RGB-399-MB, which they later sold to a car dealer in Abeokuta, Ogun state.

“Similarly, another 27-year-old fake soldier, Ibrahim Ajibola, was arrested on the Osogbo-Gbongan highway.

“Items recovered from the suspects are Four Nigeria Army Identity cards, one military photograph, laminated military certificate, stamp pad of the Nigeria Army, full military camouflage kits, a Honda car with reg. no. RGB399MB and EPE 509-GL, Army form.
