All Progressives Congress National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, have led other prominent Nigerians to felicitate the President of the Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, as the billionaire businessman attained 65 years.
In a congratulatory letter signed by him and released at the weekend by his Media Office, Tinubu commended Dangote for his numerous laudable achievements, not only as a titan of African industry, but also as a philanthropist.
The APC national leader prayed that Allah continues to extend His hand of mercy over Dangote’s life and the lives of his family members and loved ones.
He said: “I offer, by this letter, hearty congratulations to you on the occasion of your 65th birthday, today. I thank Almighty Allah for His abundant blessings in your life and in the lives of all those you have touched over the years.
“I pray that Allah continues to extend His hand of mercy over your life and the lives of your family members and loved ones.
“I pray the events of this day, the celebration of your life brings you lasting memories that you will treasure for the rest of your days.
“I must also take this opportunity to commend you for your many laudable achievements, not only as a titan of African industry, but also as a philanthropist.
“As you gather with your family, friends and associates to give thanks to Almighty Allah during this Holy month of Ramadan, may He hear the supplications of your heart and fill you with His peace.
“May Allah bless you with many more years of good health and happiness and may He send his angels to guide, guard and strengthen you in the years to come.”
On his part, Gbajabiamila said the industrialist and business mogul will always be a reference point in Nigeria and Africa.
Extolling Dangote’s virtues, the Speaker of the House of Representatives said he was elated that the industrialist had used virtually his entire 65 years on earth for service to humanity through his philanthropic and entrepreneurial activities.
The speaker noted with delight how the Dangote Group has become a massive employer of labour for Nigerians across the board.
He said Dangote remains a focal point and a major contributor to the Nigerian economy through his chains of businesses.
“Dangote will always be a reference point in Nigeria, Africa and the world. I join millions of Nigerians to thank him for the massive work he is doing in the development of our country.
“I wish him a happy 65th birthday and pray that the Almighty Allah will continue to protect him and grant him more fruitful years in sound health,” the speaker said.
Also felicitating the foremost African industrialist and philanthropist in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Umar Muhammad Puma, yesterday, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rep. Ahmed Idris Wase, praised his contributions to the development of the nation.
Wase described Dangote as a philanthropist whose contributions to the nation’s development had not gone unnoticed as he continued to bring succour to millions of Nigerians.
He said: “Your unwavering faith in Nigeria and indeed Africa is unshakable, as you have continued to invest and create millions of jobs for our people, and have been consistent in providing help for the poor and vulnerable in the society.
“I pray that God grants you more wisdom, sound health and vision as you continue your selfless service to humanity.”
