A man has sought help from everyone to find his missing son.
Mr Alfred Ayo, who works with a mining company in Igarra, Edo State, appealed to the Delta State government, clergymen and good-spirited Nigerians to help him reunite with his two-year-old Testimony Ayo, who went missing since April 15, 2019.
Ayo made the appeal on the premises of a Magistrate court in Ebrumede, Warri, Delta State where his ex-wife, Ruth, is a defendant in a defamation suit.
A pastor sued Ruth for allegedly defaming him by claiming that Testimony Ayo got missing on the premises of his church.
The pastor debunked the alleged claim, saying the toddler disappeared outside the church.
Magistrate Afonughe Edewor adjourned the case till May 26 for hearing.
But Alfred Ayo, who is not joined in the suit, said he was most interested in recovering his son.
He also claimed that his ex-wife and an alleged boyfriend were using the boy’s disappearance to make money, and urged the woman to desist from the alleged act.
Ayo knelt on the court premises with his hands held towards heaven, asking that his son be returned to him.
Ayo said he saw the trending news of his missing son on the internet.
He has also written a petition to the Delta State commissioner of police, alleging that Testimony’s disappearance was being exploited for financial gain.
