No fewer than three people were yesterday confirmed dead with many injured when suspected members of the Oyo State Park Management System (PMS) clashed with thugs known as Isota boys around Ali Iwo area, Agodi Gate in Ibadan.
Many vehicles were damaged.
A source said the fracas started when the PMS members were shooting in the air on their way back from where Governor Seyi Makinde commissioned a bus terminal.
The bullets hit some youths in the area, it was said.
But another source said the PMS members led by the chairman of the disciplinary committee, Alhaji Mukaila Lamidi, were attacked by the Isota boys intent on assassinating him.
The police could not be reached at the time of filing this report.
Two suspects were said to have been arrested in connection with the incident.
