This year’s ECOFEST must have come and gone, but the exciting memories of it will continue to linger in the hearts of those who experienced it. Hundreds of thousands of fun seekers trooped out to enjoy the best of comedy, music and live performances as Freetown National Stadium was filled to the brim.
The annual event convened by top Sierra Leonean entertainment outfit Kabaka Group Multimedia Entertainment featured artistes from African countries like Congo, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Uganda, Senegal, Kenya, Guinea and Nigeria. The continent’s top music festival themed “Rejuvenation” was graced by people from all walks of life.
Multi talented Nigerian comedian, actor and music artiste, Samuel Perry widely known as Broda Shaggi had a great time hosting the prominent entertainment festival alongside his contemporary cum compatriot Kenny Blaq. Reacting to Broda Shaggi’s experience at the festival, his management team headed by Oguntamu Olufemi of Penzaarville Africa said “Shaggi had memorable moments at the event along the line of warm reception, security and smooth logistics provided by the hosts – Thank you Sierra Leone, the love was real.”
Some of Africa’s finest artistes such as Eddy kenzo, Rema, Dija, Bisa Kdei and Platini P gave guests more than they expected in terms of fun and glamour. The festival also marked a moment of amazement as Nigerian music duo P-square performed together on stage for the first time after four-year feud.
