Four persons, including a policeman, were killed yesterday by gunmen in Anambra State.
Two were killed in Ukpor, Nnewi South council, while two others were murdered near a church on the road in Ozubulu community of Ekwusigo council.
Last week, five persons were killed at a bar in Osumenyi, while a policewoman was slain in Ukpor.
Osumenyi and Ukpor are in Nnewi South council of the state.
The two persons killed in Ukpor were identified as siblings Godwin Ikechukwu Modobi and Nnajiofor Modobi.
“The gunmen first killed Nnajiofor in their house when they invaded their home in the wee hours of Monday. Thereafter, they blindfolded and abducted the younger brother, whom they also eventually killed and dumped his body at the centre of the road,” a family source added.
Police spokesman Ikenga Tochukwu confirmed the incident, saying one of the deceased was a police official.
A Toyota Camry car conveying the deceased was recovered by the police, it was said..
