Aspirant picks form, pledges quality representation

Aspirant for Delta South Dr Sylvester Onoyona has described himself as trusted and reliable to represent the people.

He spoke yesterday after picking his expression of interest and nomination forms in Abuja.

Onoyona, who is contesting on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC), said he would end Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) era because the people are willing to embrace a change sweeping through Delta South.

He decried the ‘massive failure’ of PDP occasioned by neglect of Delta South and mindless impoverishment due to poor representation and governance, saying the people deserve better.

The aspirant also lamented that the district was the poorest in human and material development.

Onoyona’s manifesto, christened: The social contract with my people, stands on a tripod of massive material, human development and empowerment; security and food sufficiency. He noted that the people are in dire need of quality representation from a tested and trusted senator, a vacuum he has chosen to fill.

He added: “Having purchased this form that I have dedicated to the people of Delta South, the time has come for us to rise up to make it a success for me to represent you in the Senate…

“The delegates are germane to my success; it is our place to appeal and make them see reasons to put me forward in an overwhelming victory at the polls. I promise never to fail my people when given the mandate.”
