Suspected kidnappers stormed Yadagungume and Limi villages in Ningi council of Bauchi State, killing three persons and injuring many others.
Police spokesman Ahmed Wakili said the command received the news of the incident at about 5.00 am yesterday.
According to him, the Divisional Police Officer, DPO of Burra Division led a team of policemen to the scene of the crime where 13 empty shells of AK47 were recovered.
He said the suspects were on the run, adding that a coordinated patrol and surveillance would be carried out in all strategic locations across the whole state to ensure that criminal elements are apprehended and demobilised without any collateral damage to the citizens.
