Aspirant seeks delegates’ support

A House of Representatives aspirant in Oyo, Akinjide Kazeem Akinola, has called for the support of delegates from the state.

His spokesman, Omogbolahan Babawale, wrote an open letter to All Progressives Congress (APC) delegates from the state.

He urged them to take a deep reflection on the quality of representation at the federal level ahead of APC primaries.

Babawale urged Egbeda/Ona-Ara delegates to examine the quality of aspirants and their grassroots deliverables when deciding the candidate to represent the party at the next House of Representatives election.

“It is a decision that can make or mar the future of our constituents and therefore, the living standard of our people in terms of quality representation.

“We must think of the future, reflect on the present if truly our constituents have enjoyed people-centric representation. Therefore, the future lies on your shoulders,” Babawale wrote.

On why the delegates should support Akinola’s bid, Babawale said the aspirant has the requisite grassroots spread and appeal and cares about the people’s welfare.

He added: “We, therefore, appeal to your conscience as the people of Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency look up to you to decide and define the future for them.

“Your vote should go for a man who you can truly beat your chest for and say: ‘I was part of this historical but all-important decision.’”
