Singer Bankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W, yesterday won the PDP primary for the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency ticket.
He polled 28 votes while his closest opponent scored three votes.
His victory trended on Twitter yesterday.
A user, NEFERTITI (@firstladyship) tweeted: “In Nigeria, people genuinely rejoice over your downfall. Many were already rejoicing; they were convinced Banky W had lost the PDP primaries ticket. But God had other plans. Congratulations to Banky.
“This is how Peter Obi will emerge as well. Nigeria will be great again.”
