Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi yesterday swore in 14 Permanent Secretaries and urged them to enhance human capacity in tackling 21st-century challenges.
Fayemi said the current public service requires competent administrators that are well equipped in responding to contemporary challenges confronting the world and the nation.
He said his administration had always embraced merit-based appointment to ensure a competent and robust human resources architecture.
Fayemi said the permanent secretaries were appointed based on their record of performance, skills and characters.
“This was done with the hope that they would continue to provide mentorship and good examples to junior officers in sustaining the practices and legacies of public service,” he added.
