A pro-Asiwaju Bola Tinubu group, ‘No Alternative to Tinubu 2023’ has applauded President Muhammadu Buhari for his wisdom, firmness and neutrality in the conduct of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election.
A statement by the group’s National Coordinator, Vincent Uba, noted that despite pressures on him to influence the election by naming his anointed aspirant, the president kept his cool.
It reads: “We are happy with Mr. President and proud of him to have exhibited this singular act of wisdom that gave rise to an APC flag bearer known to command a large national following and grassroots support. We congratulate Mr President, not only because APC had a successful, free and fair presidential primary election, but also because there is now relative peace, harmony and unity in the party.”
The group also described the presidential candidate as ‘a man with the track record of selecting round pegs for round holes over the years will, no doubt, deploy same in choosing his team to govern the country from 2023. The thriving economy and friendly environment of Lagos is a testimonial of the said track record’.
