The presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso is considering working with the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi.
The Nation gathered that Kwankwaso is in talks with Obi, ahead of the 2023 Presidential election.
However, in an interview with the BBC, Kwankwaso confirmed the plans to merge with the Labour Party.
He said, “ Honestly I am In talks with Peter Obi and my committee members are also working tirelessly to do the needful regarding our merger with the labor party.
“We are looking into the matter to see how we can cooperate with him and also now that family and friends have also been talking to us about that possibility,” he said.
In a veil reference to the discussion, a post on the official handle of the NNPP reads: “We wish to inform Nigerians that, our discussions with Peter Obi and the Labour Party are still ongoing. The special committee was set to discuss arrangements.
“We hope for good results that will give Nigeria a chance to be alive, once again,” it read.
