Ishaku flags off 35km Pamanga-Dakka road

Taraba State governor, Darius Ishaku, Saturday, officially flagged off of the construction of the 35 km Pamanga-Dakka road in Bali LGA worth N10.3 billion.

During the flag-off in Pamanga, Bali LGA, Ishaku said the road was part of his plan to deliver the state from socio-economic backwardness.

According to him, the road was first constructed in the 1920s and has since been left to dilapidate.

He said all the financial obligations to the contractor have been met and it would be completed by December.

Ishaku disclosed that when completed, the road would connect Ganye in Adamawa State with Jalingo and also improve the economy of the communities.

The Chief Engineer, Fadi Azzam of Geld Construction, the contractor of the project, disclosed that 21 kilometers of the road has been done and that the project would be completed in record time.
