The Governor-Elect was led by a team of party leaders, including Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) Kayode Fayemi; Chairman of the Progressives Governors’ Forum (PGF) and Governor of Kebbi State, Atiku Bagudu; Jigawa Governor Mohammed Badaru; and the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Otunba Niyi Adebayo, who was Ekiti Governor between 1999 to 2003.

Responding to alleged votes buying during the election, Oyebanji said his victory was a result of efforts by the APC-led administration in the State.

Adamu affirmed that the allegation of vote-buying was raised by elements losing at the poll.
