Gospel singer Osinachi buried in Abia amid tears

Popular gospel singer Osinachi Nwachukwu was buried amid tears yesterday in her hometown of Isochi Umunneochi in Abia State.

Among the sympathisers who attended the burial was federal lawmaker, Nkeiruka Onyejeocha.

The lawmaker promised to support the Osinachi Foundation and ensure the payment of school fees for the singer’s four children up to university level.

The singer’s body was received in her home town in Amakpoke Umuaku community, Abia State around 12:00 pm.

The Nation reports that Osinachi, who sang the popular song ‘Ekwueme’, died on April 8, 2022.

Prior to the final internment today, a night of worship was held in Abuja on Thursday, June 23 while a Night of Prayer was also held in Isochi, Umunoci in Abia State on Friday.

Recall that the late singer was said to have suffered frequent domestic violence from her husband, Peter Nwachukwu, as alleged by her children, family, and colleagues. Nwachukwu, who was accused of being responsible for Osinachi’s death, is currently on trial.a
