WACEE sets to solve water, energy crises in Nigeria

In its mission to provide high-quality services to German and Nigerian companies, the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Nigeria (AHK Nigeria) will be hosting the West African Clean Energy and Environment (WACEE) trade fair and conference in Lagos.

The hybrid event themed: ‘Catalysing Sustainable Investments’ is scheduled to be held from October 19th to 21st at the Landmark Event Centre.

Speaking ahead of the conference, AHK Nigeria Delegate, Katharina Felgenhauer said this year’s edition is unique as it marks the 10th anniversary of WACEE.

“In the past decade, the West  African Clean Energy and Environment Trade Fair and Conference has evolved into the subregion’s leading event focusing on clean energy, water and the circular economy. The trade fair and conference has attracted leading inventors, service providers, manufacturers, suppliers and distributors, investors and industry experts and has served as a gateway for these stakeholders to access West African markets,” she said.

According to Felgenhauer, two-country pavilions: the German Pavilion supported by the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA) and the Austrian Pavilion organised by the Austrian Embassy Commercial Section are already confirmed to be at the 3-day conference

On his part, the Acting Consul General for Germany in Lagos, Marton Köver expressed optimism about the business potential of the Nigerian market.
