About 15 prominent Nigerians, including a leading banker and financial expert, Mr Fatai Akin Kekere-Ekun and a professor of law/tax consultant, Taofeeq Abdulrasak, have been honoured with merit awards by the Eko Club of Lagos.
In a ceremony held at the club arcade in Surulere, its president, Jayeola Agoro, a lawyer, also welcomed new members.
Among the awardees were some staff of the club who have proved themselves worthy in their areas of duty.
The event featured the annual president’s party, induction of new members, merit awards, Easter and Eid El Fitri celebrations as well as fundraising for the projects.
Agoro listed 14 notable achievements by the current executive committee, which he said would not have been possible without the support of members and friends of the club.
He urged the new members to sustain the value-adding spirit the Club is known for over the years.
