For the want of a better description, Gov of Kogi State, His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello is one person widely misunderstood for many reasons. He is not someone who gives in to the conventional way of doing things. He is known to be a problem solver who thinks outside the box and does things beyond human comprehension. For him, fulfillment and bettering the lives of Kogi indigenes remain a top priority. Many marveled at the love he gets from his people. They refer to him as a Maliaka sent from above to make Kogi great again. As Governor of Kogi, the multi-tribal state became more united. How he was able to achieve that is still shrouded in mystery to date. But sources claimed that his ability to run an all-inclusive government further strengthened the bond and unity. Under his watch, Kogi State is rated one of the most peaceful states in Nigeria. How he was able to activate all his internal security apparatus still baffles those who wanted him to fail.
With over 300 verifiable projects, Bello remained silent when his traducers dragged him for not performing. Like an eagle with long sight, he was observing, working, and strategizing on the perfect time to shame his enemies with the result of his silent works. Despite losing out on the All Progressives Congress presidential ticket, an unperturbed Bello shuts cynics up with the commissioning of his numerous projects across the state. The projects cut across healthcare, education, food security, road, employment, and infrastructure among others. He recently commissioned the ultra-modern general hospital in Gegu, Kogi State specialist hospital, Lokoja, Prince Abubakar Audu University Teaching Hospital clinical complex, Anyigba, Ganaja Flyover Bridge, Kogi State civic center, Lokoja, GYB Model Science Secondary School in Adonkolo, Lokoja and all three senatorial districts, Kogi State, construction of Inele, Adum and Ikem roads, Olamaboro Local Government Area, Kogi state, Reference Hospital Okene, Kogi State, Advanced Life Support (ALS) mobile clinics for all secondary and tertiary healthcare centres in Kogi state, Ejiba Rice Mill, Zonal Hospital Idah and a host of others.
