A tanker laden with Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) on Tuesday evening exploded at the Mile Two area of Lagos State causing chaos.
The incident occurred at Otto Wharf by Signal Barracks of the Nigerian Army.
It was alleged the explosion occurred as a result of carelessness on the part of a panel beater.
The artisan was said to have been welding under a truck when the fire sparked and no serious action was taken to extinguish it until it got out of hands.
Confirming the incident, the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) said firemen and security operatives have been deployed to the scene.
