Popular Afrobeats singer, Davido has congratulated his uncle Senator Ademola Adeleke for his certificate of return as Osun Governor-Elect.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Wednesday, presented the Certificate of Return to Adeleke.
The presentation comes barely 72 hours after Adeleke was declared winner of the Saturday, July 16 poll.
Before the issuance, Davido on Tuesday called out INEC for its delay in the issuance of certificate of return to his uncle.
The music star wondered why two days after Adeleke emerged victorious at the poll, he was yet to receive his certificate of return.
But with the latest development, the “Fem” singer while congratulating Adeleke revealed the sacrifice and long battle fought by their family was God’s way of testing their faith to their victorious land.
He noted at this point, after all said and done, he would be hitting the studio now to cook up some hits for his fans.
The DMW boss added: “It’s been a long battle fought!! We put our Family name on the line, I put my career on the line! But we had faith!! This was God testing us if we really believed in him!! I feel victorious! Congrats! Your excellency @AAdeleke_01! As for me it’s back to the studio!”
