OLUKOYA’s Disciples is celebrating the birthday of their mentor and spiritual leader, Pastor Daniel Olukoya, and his wife, Pastor Shade Olukoya, by giving back to the less privileged through ‘Food outreach and Evangelism’in Lagos State.

Regional Overseer of Southsouth Region 7 in Cross River State Pastor Jesusina Morenikeji, who is also coordinator of Online Deliverance Prophetic Prayer and Revival Team (ODPPRT), said the project goes beyond material things  ‘as the spiritual blessings were of greater measure.

He added: “Every July 15 is the birthday of our father and mother in the Lord, Dr. Daniel and Mrs. Shade Olukoya. Having worked under these good leaders in the last 23 years as a pastor … I discovered they are givers, they are philanthropists … And three years ago, God gave me a vision to celebrate them…’’

Three years ago, we had online praise sessions for them; two years ago it was same thing but this 2022 is a pragmatic step because Dr Olukoya is 65 and our mother is also a year older…

“Unfortunately, there is hunger in the land, so we felt it will be good to celebrate them by giving back to the less privileged. About 30 of us belong to the Olukoya Disciples so we pulled resources together to make this happen. And the joy is that beneficiaries are not only Christians or church members, everyone is free to partake irrespective of tribe, gender or religion because hunger does not know tribe or religion…”
