The battle to dethrone reigning Aiteo Cup champions, Bayelsa United and Bayelsa Queens will kick off on July 26th with the rookies’ playoffs in the men’s and women’s categories.
At the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri, Osevan FC (Delta ) will be up against Anambra’s Peace FC while Bendel Insurance Feeders and Federal Medical Centre (Kogi) will lock horns at UNEC Stadium, Enugu.
In another tie, Sokoto Professionals and Saki United of Oyo will square up at the Bako Kontagora Stadium, Minna among other six fixtures scheduled for Tuesday in the men’s category.
In the women’s cadre, three games are scheduled in the rookies playoff.
Bayelsa United defeated Nasarawa United 5-4 on penalties after 2-2 at a regulation time to cart home the 2021 Aiteo Cup for the men’s category while Bayelsa Queens stopped FC Robo Queens to win the Women’s cadre.
