Gunmen suspected to be cult members have killed a Lagos based businessman, Biola Osundiya in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital.
The deceased, said to be in his forties, was said to have come to Ilorin to spend some time with his family.
The reasons for his murder, it was gathered are still shrouded in mystery.
The incident, it was also gathered, occurred on last Wednesday in the metropolis.
The assailants were said to have trailed the victim to a drinking joint close to the Kwara State Center for Art and Culture and shot him at close range.
A source said the deceased was in the company of a girl with whom he was having a conversation about some people on the phone regarding their location shortly before his assailants arrived.

The source added:”He was shot by two men who traced him to the spot on motorbike and left him in the pool of his blood thereafter.
“He was initially based in Ilorin, Kwara state where his two wives and children still reside but recently relocated to Lagos to start cement business.”
His younger brother, Segun confirmed the incident.
He said the development has left his family and friends devastated and called on the security agencies to fish out the perpetrators to face justice.
Spokesperson of Kwara Police Ajayi Okasanmi, said the police were still on the trail of the killers.
Okasanmi said : “We can’t say for now whether the killing was cultist or business related, but an AK 47 ammunition was recovered from the scene and we are working to establish those behind it. But no arrest has been made for now.”
