Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State Cornelius Ojelabi and former Deputy Governor Princess Sarah Sosan have urged residents of riverine communities to support the party in 2023.
They spoke in a statement after a meeting at Irewe in Ojo Local Government.
Ojelabi said the communities should thank former Lagos State Governor Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for creating more councils as governor.
He said this contributed to development of riverine communities in Ojo, adding they should reciprocate this by supporting APC, its presidential standard-bearer, Asiwaju Tinubu and governorship candidate, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Sosan advised them to vote APC candidates, describing the choice of Tinubu, Sanwo-Olu and others as a wise one.
Highlights of the event included an interactive session and distribution of support materials, by Sosan.
