Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) has assured residents of FESTAC Town, Satellite Town, Kirikiri Town, and Agboju areas in Lagos of an improved service delivery.
In a town hall meeting with the community development associations of the areas, the EKEDC’s Chief Commercial Officer, Mrs. Rekhiat Momoh, assured the communities of the firm’s prompt resolution of complaints brought to the fore.
She emphasised to the customers the need the curb vandalism and illegal connections as these do not only affect supply but also pose a risk and hazard to lives and properties.
Momoh said plans were afoot to add an additional line to supply the FESTAC environs and improve its turnaround time on complaints concerning faults, noting that EKEDC does not encourage the purchase of distribution transformers and other electrical equipment by customers.
The EKEDC’s Corporate Communications General Manager, Godwin Idemudia, in a statement, said the forum was a continuation of the extensive engagement of customers and stakeholders across the EKEDC network to identify challenges affecting electricity supply under each district
According to Idemudia, Eko Disco will continue to demonstrate its customer-centric stance by providing more effective ways to serve them better. ‘Prior to our meeting in Festac, we have engaged our customers in Ijora, Ojo, Mushin, Ajah and Ibeju districts, and we are also going to organise such forum with the other districts in due time,’ he added.
