House of Representatives Deputy Speaker Ahmed Idris Wase has assured the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima, of his total support in the 2023 election.
Speaking when he hosted the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (ABAT) Support Group in his office in Abuja, Wase said: “Of all the candidates in other political parties, none has the qualities and capacity of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”
The Deputy Speaker also promised to support any initiative that will add value and lead to the success of the Tinubu/Shetima ticket.
“I want to assure you that we in the House of Representatives, particularly members of the APC, shall collaborate with every organisation to ensure victory for the Tinubu/Shetima ticket,” he said.
The lawmaker urged the group to go out in full force and campaign for the success of Tinubu/Shettima ticket.
“We have good products to sell. This is somebody that had turned around the economy of Lagos within a short time and has built people across the country, irrespective of region or religion.
“I charge you all to go out in full force with your heads raised high seeking for those votes as you have a good product to sell to Nigerians.
“I urged you not to relent in ensuring the victory for our candidates,” Wase said.
The Deputy Speaker expressed optimism that the APC will be victorious with the overwhelming majority in both chambers of the National Assembly.
He assured the group of his support to work for the success of the Tinubu/Shettima ticket as well as the party’s victory in all elections in 2023.
The organisation’s National Coordinator Oyinkansola Okiwuyi said the group was in the National Assembly to seek the support and cooperation of the Deputy Speaker and inform him about the strategy it was using to galvanise support and solicit for votes.
