A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Ayiri Emami, has assured that candidates of the ruling party will clinch the presidential and Delta state gubernatorial seats in the coming general elections.
Emami stated this when he played host to former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs and Director-General, Ovie Omo-Agege Gubernatorial Campaign Committee, Elder Godsday Orubebe, in Warri, Delta state, Thursday.
According to him, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Ovie Omo-Agege’s emergence in the 2023 elections are a collective project which will be executed with all efforts by their teeming supporters in the state.
He expressed confidence that the party will snatch Delta State from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) by voting massively for the Deputy Senate President.
However, Chief Emami emphasised the need for unity of purpose among all ethnic nationalities in the state in order to ensure the election of Tinubu and Omo-Agege, just as he pointed out that the presidential candidate is an in-law of Delta State.
Promising to work with Elder Orubebe to deliver the party come 2023, he remarked that Senator Omo-Agege has united the party in the state more than ever before.
Another APC stalwart, Prince Yemi Emiko, extolled the political wizardry of the DG, whom he noted had held crucial political positions at the state and national levels in the past.
