C’River APC chieftain urges women to support Tinubu

The former National Vice Chairman, South-South, of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ntufam Hilliard Eta, has urged women to support the Presidential Candidate of the party in next year’s general election.

Eta made the call when the Cross River State APC Grassroot Women Support Movement, led by its President, Comrade Antighanwan Duke, paid him a visit in Calabar.

He lauded the work by the executive and members of the support movement in the state.

He also acknowledged the efforts of women in the political space, saying, “women over time have been observed to be the first at the polling units and the last to leave, they cast their votes, defend and protect it, they are not easily deterred, they defend their party and are the most sincere people.”

Eta said the APC has “a very fantastically sellable product/brand, a phenomenal candidate” in its presidential candidate, “who has no match whatsoever.”

He described Tinubu as a lover of talents, a developer of men and a catalyst for economic development, growth and sustainability.

Eta, who highlighted how Tinubu positively transformed Lagos State as governor, pointed out that he was one of such talents discovered and developed by APC Presidential candidate.

He urged the women to prepare early and work hard, noting that the state stands to gain if the APC wins, ranging from the Calabar Port to the industrialization of the State.

He assured that the support required for the work would be given in full measure ahead of 2023 elections.

Earlier, the President of the Movement, Comrade Antighanwan Duke in her opening remarks, appreciated the APC Chieftain for the audience and the synergy that was being fostered.

Duke observed with dismay the way women have been used in the electioneering process, yet abandoned as very little or nothing is always done to appreciate their efforts.

The visit had in attendance State Executive members and some local government coordinators of the support movement.
