UBA’s audiovisual channel, REDTV, and flagship web series, The Men’s Club, have scooped three nominations at the 2022 NEMCEA.
The nomination was revealed by EMCOAN executive Stephen Alayande at the unveiling of the awards ceremony, which took place at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja GRA.
Zeina Otonjo got REDTV the first nomination under the Best Script Writer category. The audiovisual and lifestyle channel was also nominated in the special mentions category alongside Boom Radio NG and KKB Show. Award-winning web series, The Men’s Club also grabbed a nomination in the Most Outstanding web series category.
Speaking at the event, EMCOAN president Jibe Ologeh said the Electronic Media Content Owners Association of Nigeria teamed up with Broadcast Media Africa and Radisson Blu to hold the awards ceremony and training in honour of industry practitioners.
The 12-category award ceremony is scheduled to hold between Monday, August 29 and Wednesday, August 31, 2022.
‘Participation is open to all broadcast content producers and other stakeholders across media, not just television but radio, online, and moviemakers. Exhibitors, as well as content aggregators from across Africa, Europe, and America, are expected to attend this mega event. NEMCEA is a very important and strategic media content event that we plan to hold annually to bring together global stakeholders in the media industry within and outside Nigeria to buy, sell, collaborate, aggregate, and exchange ideas on content in Nigeria across Africa.
