Although she hardly speaks about her early life, she recently shared the makeup tools that she had first bought.

Face primer

For Mimie, face primer is an essential step in any makeup routine. She said, “I bought my first face primer because I knew that it not only helps to create a smooth canvas for makeup but also prolongs the wear of foundation and concealer. In addition, face primer can help to correct the appearance of fine lines and uneven skin texture. Since I also had a few elderly clients, I knew that a face primer would be useful.”

She suggests that when choosing a face primer, it is crucial to consider the skin type and the desired finish of your makeup. For example, those with dry skin may benefit from a hydrating face primer, while those with oily skin may prefer a mattifying formula.

Concealer

Concealer is the second tool that Mimie bought after she became a makeup artist. “I often use concealers to cover blemishes, dark circles, and other imperfections on the face. However, concealer can also highlight certain features, such as the cheekbones or brow bone. When applied correctly, concealer can give the face a more even and polished appearance. I always advise everyone to choose the right shade and blend it well. A concealer that is too light or too dark will only accentuate imperfections, rather than hiding them.”

Blush

The third tool or makeup product that Mimie bought was a blush. “Blush can brighten the complexion and add a touch of color to the cheeks. It creates a youthful appearance. Over the years, I’ve had the chance to use different types of blush available on the market, from powders to creams to gels. The best type of blush for me will depend on the skin type and the look you are trying to achieve. Powder blushes are ideal for people with oily skin, as they help to absorb excess oil and keep the makeup in place. Cream blushes are suitable for dry or sensitive skin, providing moisture and coverage without being too heavy. Gel blushes are perfect for creating a natural-looking flush, as they blend easily into the skin without looking cakey.”
