A former Commissioner of Special duties, Culture and Tourism in Ondo State, Femi Adekanmbi and Pastor Akinrinlola Olumide, has commended Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for elevating some traditional rulers in the state to first Class monarchs.
They said that the elevation of the traditional rulers would attract developments to their communities.
Three traditional rulers in Owo local government area were among those Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu elevated to First class monarchs.
They are Onipele of Ipele (HRH) Oba Segun Aganun, Ojomo- Luda of Ijebu Owo, (HRM) Oba Kofoworola Olatubosun Oladoyinbo and Elemure of Emure (HRM) Oba Simeon Adedubaje Adeyefa.

In Okitipupa local government area, Oba Akinmusayo Williams, the Halujagbo of Aye Kingdom, was elevated from grade B to first class.
Hon Adekanmbi who congratulated the three monarchs on their elevation said it was well deserved.
Adekanmbi appealed to them to use their elevation to bring peace, love and unity to all the traditional institutions in Owo Kingdom.
He urged them not allow their new status to divide residents in Owo but to see it as an opportunity ‘to unify us for rapid development of Owo Kingdom.’
The former Commissioner cautioned traditional Chiefs to offer good advice to the monarchs for the purpose of peace, love and unity to the entire community.
“I believe your elevation to first class status by the state government will speed up the physical and socio-economic development in your domain. Let us all unite and join forces with the Olowo of Owo (HRM) Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III in maintaining peace and attract meaningful projects to our Kingdom.
Pastor Olumide said the elevation of Oba Akinmusayo was long overdue. He thanked Governor Akeredolu for correcting what he termed an anomaly.
