Ogun Chaplain corps offers prayers for nation

It was a prayer session at Josmar College in Papalanto, Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State, where members of the state’s Command of Nigeria Chaplain Corps converged to pray to God to end insecurity and economic challenges in Nigeria.

The programme was to celebrate the annual thanksgiving of the group in Ogun. It had the attendance of Onipapa of Papalanto, Oba Jimoh Famuyiwa, traditional chiefs and captains of industry.

The colourful event featured decoration of officers, commissioning, presentation of awards and gifts.

In his welcoming address, the state’s Commanding Officer, Chap Brigadier Oni Isaiah, commended Oba Famuyiwa for giving a portion of land in the community to construct a befitting building for the command usage.

He said: “The thanksgiving celebration is to appreciate God for His provision and protection of lives of members of the organisation. Every last Friday of August has been set aside to come together to share and celebrate the good things God has been doing amongst us and to enable the Command waxing stronger every day.
