Retire PDP in Delta, candidate tells voters

Delta PDP

All Progressives Congress candidate (APC) for Isoko Federal Constituency Dr Sylvester Onoyona has called on the electorate to vote out Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) next year.

Onoyona, a professor of organisational leadership, spoke in a message to Deltans as they mark the 31st anniversary of the multi lingual Southsouth state.

He congratulated the people, saying they should vote out PDP, which brought nothing but  misfortune to the oil-rich state.

The real estate mogul  noted that since the advent of democracy in 1999, PDP had mismanaged the state, making it a cash-cow for party leaders.

He said the 13 per cent derivation accruals to the state was enough to develop the state much better than Lagos State, which now compares with world’s best metropolitan cities owing to the visionary leadership of the progressive APC.

Onoyona noted that the solution for the state to exit poverty is for Deltans to vote out the “usupers of power and misleaders.”

According to him, PDP had underdeveloped the state and allowed poverty to thrive, thus remaining a curse on the people.

He urged the people to speak loud with their votes in 2023; saying the Isoko nation, for instance, was on the verge of bidding farewell to a “nerver-do-well party” that subjected the state to the biggest debt.

The candidate said APC offered an alternative to PDP with quality leadership and service delivery to the people, and called on Deltans to vote for APC candidates.

He predicted that with the victories of its presidential candidate Bola Tinubu, and governorship candidate  Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, and others, the ugly narratives of the state would be eroded with good governance.

“APC has always offered a better option in governance and leadership  for the people, including Deltans, and I ask for a renewed mandate in 2023 so our team will hit the ground running to change the ugly narratives that have become the hallmark in Delta State.

“At 31, our state has no good roads, education is zero, with tuition fees rising, poverty is a norm; illiteracy is growing just like our state has been plunged into eternal debts…

‘’Our capital has been turned to a glorified village by PDP, health sector is crippled … APC is poised to exit our people from abject poverty and despondency… We pray that next anniversary shall be done by APC governor,” Onoyona said.
