The police yesterday confirmed that armed robbers attacked three commercial banks in Ankpa, Kogi State.
The robbery took place on Tuesday, police spokesman William Ovye-Aya, said in a statement.
Ovye-Aya said the anti-robbery squad had visited the scenes, and that Commissioner of Police Edward Egbuka also directed anti-riot policemen, counterterrorism and other security units to collaborate in apprehending the attackers and restoring normalcy in the areas.
