Ex-footballer and immediate past chairman of Surulere Local Government Area (LGA), Hon. Tajudeen Ajide will be receiving the Rotary Club of Ikate Humanitarian/Philanthropic award at the Lagos Country Club on Sunday.
According to Club Secretary, Okechukwu Ogbogu, the award is in recognition of Ajide’s leadership qualities and contribution to the enhancement and betterment of the lives of the people, your community, and humanity at large.
He added: “We believe these qualities and characteristics need to be appreciated and encouraged in our society.”
The award ceremony will coincide with the investiture of Rotarian Ugochukwu Egesionu as the 36th President of the Rotary Club of Ikate.
Ajide’s two terms as chairman of Surulere LGA are noted for delivering over 50 roads and legacy projects in the community.
