Song writer Sandra Harbor aka Shamara has said her latest single “Every woman is beautiful” was inspired by the need to celebrate women.
The German-based Nigerian, in an interview, said: “It is disturbing that many women have faced one form of abuse or the other. But, irrespective of the challenges women encounter daily, they have remained resolute, so I decided to celebrate them with the song. We (women) are beautiful creatures and must be seen and treated as such.”
She also accounted that her non-governmental organisation, the Ideal Harbor Women’s Foundation, was founded by her desire to help women during pregnancy.

She added: “I lost a friend during childbirth. I travelled to Imo State to see my parents and Port Harcourt to attend a friend’s wedding. My friend was fine when I was leaving; only for her husband to call me days after that she died while giving birth. That hurts till date.”
The singer also noted that she will love to work with artistes such as Tiwa Savage, Davido and Kizz Daniel.
The hip-hop star also maintained that she was not in competition with any artiste. She said, “I am not in a competition with anybody. I am original, and I do things my way. I believe that I have a bright future in the music industry, because my songs are loaded with messages that will make people reflect.”
