The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the suspects, all of Tsibiri village in Giwa Local Government of the state, were charged with criminal conspiracy and having carnal knowledge of a minor.

The Prosecutor, Insp. Manir Nasir, had told the court that one Alhaji Nura Yusuf of Tsibiri village reported the matter to the police in Giwa Local Government Area on Tuesday.

Nasir said the action of the suspects contravened Section 368 of the Penal Code Law of Kaduna State, 2017.

“Yusuf, the guardian of the victim, said that the victim became pregnant on August 1, and upon interrogation, she mentioned the names of the suspects as the only persons who slept with her,” Nasir said.

The prosecutor added that the suspects had admitted committing the offence.
