Vice chairman of Isoko North council area of Delta State, Chief Frank Ozue, who was kidnapped on Sunday, has regained his freedom.
It was gathered that the vice chairman was released on Wednesday night after spending three days with his abductors.
His family was said to have parted with N7 million to secure his release.
The victim was ambushed at Ogor Town, Ughelli North Local Government Area.
Chief Ozue also took to his Facebook page on Thursday morning to thank God for his release, stating that he was kidnapped by suspected “Hausa bandits”.

“Words are not enough to Thank God for his mercies. Your fervent prayers were truly answered.
“I regained my freedom from daredevil extremists, Hausas leaving among us, now turned Boko Haram in our communities. Truly they are here,” the post reads.
He further promised to do a “documentary” on the days spent in captivity.
The spokesman for Delta Police Command, DSP Bright Edafe, confirmed the development.
